We're thrilled to announce Settlers Creek's involvement in a cause that’s lighting up hearts across Colorado: the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Light the Night walks. Our community is committed to partnering with LLS every year, and there are plenty of ways for YOU to get involved!
Whether you're part of our Settlers Creek family or live in a nearby Colorado city, we would love to help inspire you to invest into this amazing organization.
What is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)?
Let’s start with some background on LLS. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is a leader in the fight against blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma. Since 1949, LLS has been at the forefront of efforts to cure these diseases and improve the lives of patients and their families through innovative research, patient support, and advocacy.
Chances are, you know someone who has been touched by this disease – through personal experience, family, or friends. At Settlers Creek, we’re passionate about supporting the search for cures and aiding families across the nation.

What are Light the Night Walks?
Picture this: thousands of people walking together, each holding a glowing lantern, united in support of blood cancer patients and their families. It’s an unforgettable and heartwarming experience.
Light the Night walks are LLS's signature fundraising events, held in communities nationwide. But they’re more than just fundraisers; they’re a celebration of hope, courage, and remembrance.

Why We’re Walking
Supporting a Worthy Cause: Every step we take and every dollar we raise directly supports LLS's mission to cure blood cancers and improve patients' lives. It’s a concrete way to make a difference.
Building Community: Walking together strengthens our sense of community and unity. It’s a chance to connect with neighbors, friends, and families who share our commitment to making a positive impact.
Honoring Loved Ones: The lanterns—white for survivors, red for supporters, and gold in memory of loved ones—add a deeply personal touch to the event. We walk to honor and remember those affected by blood cancers.
Inspiration and Hope: The sight of thousands of glowing lanterns lighting up the night sky is incredibly inspiring. It’s a powerful reminder that we’re all in this together and that there’s always hope.
